Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service govern the use of Pinkale ('the Service'), a browser-based, Local-First utility web application, outlining the rights, duties, and responsibilities between the operator and users.
Article 2 (Service Provision & 100% Free Principle)
- All utility tools (file converters, text processors, calculators, formatters, maker tools, etc.) provided by the Service are 100% free with no paid subscriptions or fees.
- There is no age restriction. Anyone may freely use the tools and register for an account.
- All tools can be executed without signing up or creating an account. Account creation is completely optional and provided solely for syncing personal preferences (favourites, recent tools, and recent search history).
- The Service operates under a Local-First architecture; your files and text inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to any remote server.
Article 3 (Membership Registration and Withdrawal)
- Registration is established when a user agrees to these Terms, acknowledges the Privacy Policy, and submits an application that is approved by the Service. This includes initial sign-in via a Google account.
- Members may delete their account at any time via the Account Management page (/account). Upon deletion, all associated account and personalization data will be immediately purged.
Article 4 (User Obligations and Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:
- Attempting denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, automated scraping, or actions that place an unreasonable load on the Service infrastructure.
- Creating accounts using fraudulent information or another person’s identity.
- Using the tools to process or disseminate illegal or harmful content in violation of applicable laws.
- Infringing upon the Service’s intellectual property, interface design, or proprietary assets.
- Generating or inserting another person's name, stamp, or signature into documents without due authorization.
- Creating or using stamp or signature images for unlawful purposes, such as forgery or falsification.
- Submitting personal information of third parties in feature requests or inquiries.
Article 5 (Service Restrictions)
- If a user violates the obligations and prohibitions in Article 4, the operator may suspend or delete the user's account and delete the relevant feature requests or inquiries.
- Except in urgent circumstances, the operator will notify the user prior to taking restrictive actions. Inquiries or appeals may be submitted to contact@pinkale.com.
Article 6 (Modifications and Service Availability)
- The Service may add, update, or remove tools as necessary for technical or operational improvements.
- Service availability may be temporarily suspended during scheduled maintenance, equipment upgrades, or unforeseen telecommunications failures.
Article 7 (Intellectual Property)
- All trademarks, logos, visual designs, and software code of pinkale are the exclusive property of the operator.
- Users retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over any content, files, or results created using the tools. The Service claims zero ownership over your outputs.
- Suggestions, feedback, and feature requests submitted through the request form may be freely referenced and used to improve the Service and develop new tools.
Article 8 (Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability)
- The Service is provided 'AS-IS' on a free basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the completeness, mathematical accuracy, or fitness of any calculation or conversion result for a particular purpose.
- Users must independently verify critical data prior to making important legal, financial, tax, or business decisions.
- Images generated by stamp and signature creation tools (such as '도장 만들기' and '서명 만들기') carry no legal effect as official registered seals, identity verifications, or statutory digital signatures under electronic signature laws; users bear full responsibility for the use of any generated images.
- The operator shall not be liable for damages resulting from user device errors, browser incompatibilities, network interruptions, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Provided, however, that this shall not apply to damages caused by the operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 9 (Amendments to the Terms)
- When revising these Terms, the operator will announce the effective date and reasons for revision on the Service Updates page (/updates) at least 7 days prior to the effective date (or 30 days prior in the case of material or adverse changes).
- Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance thereof. Users who disagree with the revised Terms may withdraw their account at any time.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
Addendum: These Terms become effective on September 16, 2026. This revision takes effect concurrently with its announcement, and future revisions shall adhere to the notice periods set forth in Article 9.
