Current Limits
- Maximum input length: 100,000 characters
A UUID is a 128-bit number, so it can be written many ways. Pick a format under "Task" to convert. v1 ↔ v6 reorders the same time and node data into a sortable layout (v6).
What You Can Do
- Base64
- Shrinks the 16 bytes to 24 Base64 characters.
- Hex, decimal, binary
- View it as 32 hex digits without hyphens or as a big integer.
- v1 ↔ v6
- Reorders the time fields to turn v1 into sortable v6, or back.

- Matching the format another system expects, such as Base64
- Moving existing v1 IDs to time-sortable v6
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does v1 ↔ v6 lose information?
No. The same bits are only reordered, so converting back gives the original UUID.
